Abou Kane is a Professor of Economics at University Cheikh Anta Diop (Dakar, Senegal). He is the Head of department of Economics since 2015 and is a technical advisor at ministry of Finance (DGPPE).
He holds a PhD in Economics through an international program for 18 African francophone countries called: Programme de Troisième Cycle Interuniversitaire en Economie (PTCI). Since 2015 he is “Professeur Agrégé” in the CAMES system (francophone countries). His is specialized in development economics and Applied Microeconomics and is mainly interested in labour market, education, well-being analysis. He mainly teaches Microeconomics, development economics, economics of education and labour economics.
He is the coordinator (for Senegal) of a current project with IRDC called “Improving youth employment policies in francophone africa”.
