Dr. Felix Asante is the Director of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) and Professor of Agriculture Economics at the University of Ghana. He has conducted research and published extensively on critical economic and developmental issues. He received an award from the President of Germany Horst Köhler for his work on good governance and was welcomed as the first Ghanaian into the African Good Governance Network in 2007. Dr. Asante has also provided professional services in many capacities locally and internationally, including the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the World Bank and UNAIDS and WHO.
He has also been an external examiner/PhD supervisor in the University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Wagenegin University, University of New England, Aarhus University and University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He has a Bachelor of Science (BSc), a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Agriculture Economics and a Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture Economics from the University of Bonn.
